Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha town.

You’ll get a briefing for your trek and gear checkup. Also, you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay as you prepare for your Mount Meru climb on the next day.

Trek through the fig tree forest to Miriakamba, a journey of about 5 hours. Along the way, enjoy a picnic lunch and take a break at the scenic Moiyo waterfall. You’ll have dinner and spend the night at Miriakamba Hut (2,514m/8,248ft) after covering approximately 14km (8.6mi).

After breakfast, begin a 4-hour trek to Saddle Point, where you’ll have lunch upon arrival. Following a 2-hour rest, take a side trek to Little Meru (3,820m/12,533 ft) for acclimatization. Dinner and overnight will be at Saddle Hut (3,566m/11,712 ft). The day’s trek covers 7 km (4.3 mi).

Around midnight, you’ll receive a wake-up call with tea and cookies. The climb begins at 12:00 AM, heading towards Rhino Point (3,800m/12,467 ft). Be prepared for a challenging ascent over rocky terrain as you make your way to Meru Peak (4,562m/15,967 ft), covering 8 km (5 miles).

After reaching the summit, you’ll descend back to Saddle Hut via the same route, where you’ll enjoy brunch. In the afternoon, you’ll continue the descent to Mommella Headquarters, covering 28 km (17 miles) via Jiwe la Lami. From there, our vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your booked accommodation in Arusha town.
